Football games, Waterpolo and Thayer weeks

There has been a lot happening these past few weeks and I have finally found sometime to sit down and write about it all.

I feel like everytime I write, I mention the busy schedule they have us on. I didn't think that it could get much busier untill I ran into a "Thayer Week". A Thayer week is when you have lots of graded events and Written Partial Reviews (WPR's or tests) in the same week. Last week I had a history paper due Monday, a math and a chemistry WPR all in the same week. On top of that there were lots of extra things we needed to get done last week. It was definitely a whirlwind week. If I got 5 hours of sleep it was a good night. I was dragging by the end of the week, but none the less I made it through and have plenty more Thayer Weeks to look forward to here during my 45 month experience.

I made the water polo team here which has been lots of fun! I am learning a lot from the experienced players and have quickly learned that it is a whole other game under the water! YIKES....but I love hanging out with the other guys from the team. If the camaraderie of the team didn't sell me then getting out of duties definitely did. Because I am on the team I am excused from duties like laundry, parading, and a few others in order that I can go to practice. Its great.

One of the highlights the past few weeks was the football game last weekend. It was the first home game and even though we lost a heart breaker on the last drive of the game it was a great experience. It is a lot different from Dublin football on Friday nights, I can say that. Its just a great weekend. There is a parade in the morning and then the entire corps heads up to Michie Stadium to cheer on our fellow black knights. It was a beautiful day and a great game. Here are a few pictures from the game and some other random ones from this week! Until next time....
